In our first men's Bible study, Tuesday night, January 22, 2008, we started by reading some passages to establish the authority of God, Jesus, and the Bible (Matt. 28:18; John 5:26-27; Matt. 8:9; John 1:12; 1 Peter 4:11; 1 Cor. 4:6). We then hit on a few concepts of establishing the rules of authoritative communication in our everyday lives and discussed how we can apply those rules in our understanding of scripture’s authoritative communication.
